Aretha brings over fifteen years of experience as a property owner, condo board member, investor, and landlord to each transaction giving her clients a competitive edge. She understands and anticipates obstacles that may arise in any given situation and has the resources and strategic thinking to overcoming them. Each experience starts with four essential questions: What are you looking for? What is your timeline? Have you worked with other real estate professionals before? And if so, what worked and what didn’t? This last question is essential to Aretha understanding what her client needs not from a housing perspective but from her as their representative.

Using these questions as a jumping off point, Aretha works diligently to ensure her buyers clearly define their must-haves before they even begin their search. She works with them to help them understand what best suits their lifestyle. When it comes to her sellers, Aretha is a skilled marketer with a comprehensive knowledge of multiple digital platforms and tools that help her target potential buyers. For both buyers and sellers, she is honest, responsive and a strong negotiator and always, their advocate.

Before transitioning into a full time career in real estate, Aretha spent over a decade in media and publishing, including working as a Social Media Marketing Manager and Digital Strategist for the New York City Housing Authority. She also worked as Fashion Director for Good Housekeeping, Redbook, Family Circle, as Beauty Director for Essence and as Style Director for Ann Taylor. Her success in these arenas came from earning the respect and trust of her clients by listening and communicating earnestly with them. She uses these same skills with her real estate clients.

Licensed in both New York and New Jersey, she is able to help clients interested in transitioning out of the city and across the river.
